7 - Solder up the extension cable

Using heat shrink tubing to finish each solder joint and a larger heat shrink tube over the collective, solder the male JST PH Type to one end of the 2 foot span of 4 wire cabling.  At the other end ensure "Yellow" corresponds to the Red Stripe cable.  Were you able to save the original male connection?  Awesome!  Solder on the Female JST to the other end of the extension cable - you'll just plug the rotary encoder back in to it.
